Joro Dudovski

Joro Dudovski is the musical journey of a man who is forging sound from deep within the ocean of sonic possibilities. His work transcends genres as a direct expression of his emotional inspiration in a given moment. Many of his tracks feature heavier influences, while others balance this energy with more immersive and ambient styling.

Where are from and where are you based?

Joro Dudovski:

I'm originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, but being living in the States for the last 10 years.

What inspires you the most?

Joro Dudovski:

Ahhh lately, I've been inspired by the sound design and ost from movies. Or I will hit the movie theater and see a dope movie and will listen and watch closely how the visual scene intertwine with the audio. Also just listening to any other music than bass music. But sometimes I do get inspired by a sick drop that's for sure.

So tell us about the project The Abyss Gazes Back EP that you released with us?

Joro Dudovski:

Yes, so quite proud of this ep and how it came to be as a whole. Also I would like to thank you for taking it under the label’s umbrella! So back to the question. The opening track is actually the newest one of the whole ep. I was aiming to create something Interesting that would keep you in your toes from start to finish. Honestly I do aim for every track I make. I don’t like boring structures and super repetitive stuff. At least that’s what I like to listen the most in my free time and those are the tracks I come back the most to. The other 3 tracks are older. For example “dusty back window” was finished way back in 2021 or 2022, I can’t remember exactly haha. With the oldest being “My eternal soul”. I think this one was made around the beginning of the Pandemic.

The Abyss Gazes Back a track from that album got premiered on STUDIO. Let´s listen this nice track!

How do you usually start your projects?

Joro Dudovski:

It really depends on what I’m aiming to do for the specific track I’m working on , but lately I would start with a bass and drums and then go from there. Other times I would do the opposite, like start with a cool chord progression and then figure out the actual drop and etc.

What advice do you have  to a new coming producers ?

Joro Dudovski:

Probably be yourself, make the music you want to make, learn your DAW well, don't buy snake oil plugins, that are saying "this plugin will fix your mix/master"! They can't fix your mix only you can but for that to happen you need to put the hours. Get lessons from big and small producers, you can learn cool stuff from anybody and educate yourself about everything!

Now let´s listen your latest release on Genome Records!
